2012 SWIM CHALLENGE IS ALMOST HERE !!
SUNDAY, JANUARY 29TH is the Swim Challenge Kick Off Party, 3 - 5 AT THE DEPOT in Darien. Parents please plan to donate some raffle prizes for the party, anything from unused Christmas gifts to small, fun items that will put a smile on a swimmer's face. NCY Invite @ New Canaan YMCA, Jan 20-22
Thanks to all the Piranhas who braved the weather and Friday night.  We had a bunch of great swims and finalists.  Write up coming soon.  Results posted.  

SWIM MEETS
Please be reminded that in order for swimmers to compete at CT Regionals and/or Age Groups a swimmer must have participated in at least two CT USA Swim meets.  YMCA and Intrasquad meets do not count toward this criteria.  Here are the CT USA meets we have and are attending this season (Oct. BRS Meet, 13/O Oct. and Dec. Piranha Distance Meets, Dec., FINS meet, 12/U Jan BRS Meet, Jan NCY Meet, Jan 13/O Piranha Distance meet, FEB 9/10 Zeus Meet, Feb WAC Meet).  The 12/Under Y State sign-up comes down on the 23rd and CT Regionals will be posted as soon as we get a meet announcement.  Lastly, please check the Piranha Handbook for criteria for other high level meets.   

12/Under YMCA New Englands
The New England schedule is finally posted!!  Please note that 11/12's are on a different weekend than 9/10's and 8/Unders.  More information to follow as we get it.

CT Senior Championships March 1st – 4th at Wesleyan University. Hotel Accommodation- Inn at Middletown:  We have block booked a number of rooms for March 1, 2, 3 . These are double queen bedded rooms and can be booked by families traveling to the meet at a nightly rate of $127, valid until Feb 9, 2012. Please contact the Inn to reserve your room, identifying yourself as a Darien Piranhas Swim group member, at (860) 854-6300.

Connecticut Age Groups Championships, March 15th - 17th.
