Our Policies

School Year

The Darien YMCA Nursery School begins in September and ends in June. The school follows the Darien Public School schedule for holidays, school vacation periods and inclement weather closing. It is our desire that no one is denied child care services at the Darien YMCA for financial reasons. The YMCA has a limited amount of funds available for those who are unable to pay the full fee. Payment Calendar

$500 is due on registration day, 1/4 of payment minus $500 deposit is due by February 15th, 1/4 of payments is due May 15th, 1/4 of payment is due on September 15th and final 1/4 is due on November 15th.

**If February 15th payment is not received on time, your spot will be forfeited and your registration fee and deposit are non-refundable.

Refund Policy

Refunds are only given if Nursery School spots can be filled. Withdraws made prior to April 1st will receive a refund of 2/3 of the tuition payment received. Withdraws made after April 1st will receive a refund of 1/3 of the tuition payment received.

Parent Participation

The Nursery School strives to develop a partnership between home and school. We encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s pre-school experience through our Holly Pond Parents Association which hosts special events throughout the year.
