Personal Training at the Darien YMCA
If you’re looking for a personal trainer, we have a team of professionals who can customize a program for you. Their areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Functional Training
  • Increasing Total Body Strength
  • Toning and Conditioning
  • Addressing Special Problem areas (i.e. back, knees, shoulders)
  • Building Cardiovascular Endurance
  • Post Rehabilitation Exercise
  • Balance & Coordination
  • Pre- and Post-Natal

All of our trainers have certifications from a minimum of one of the following organizations:

  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) ̈ American Council of Exercise (ACE)
  • YMCA Personal Trainer Course ̈ National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
  • AFAA Personal Training Certification ̈ CES (Cancer Exercise Specialist)
  • International Sports & Science Association (ISSA)

KICKSTART PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION

One-time free session available to new and existing members.

Every single member receives a complimentary personal training session called a Wellness Kickstart. If you have any goals such as weight loss, strength, more energy, etc. this session will be great to give you a boost in the right direction. You will also get an In-Body 570 Body Composition Analysis and a feel for how all of our fitness equipment works!
